The Nutmeg community is a youth led organisation set up in September 2008 during London Peace Weeke and run by volunteers. Our organisation aims to maximise youth potential by giving them a platform whereby they can use their time constructively.
On Saturday 26th September 2009, Nutmeg will be celebrating its achievements throughout 2008/2009 and launchin its very first websie. We will be running a series of workshops from self-development, debates, dance, Health awareness, Stop and Search and Higher Education. We have developed relationships with many organisations including Edgware SNT, You Have A Choice-(YHAC),NHS, Barnet Homes, Grab Ur Mic, Makes Sense,The Home Office, Youth Connexions, Y.O.F, Youth Justice in Action and Department for Childrens, Schools and Families and many more. Our past event which was held in March attracted over 700 youths from Barnet, Croydan, Illfod, Streatham and Watford . We have a database exceeding 1,145 young people. As a result of our success we have now become the fastest growing organisations known for our ability to effectively engage with young people.
