 Approximately 130 community leaders (councillors, religious leaders, senior police officers etc), community safety activists (Community and Police Partnership (CPP) members, Police Liaison Group (PLG) Chairs) and representatives of different communities (Ethnic Minority Advocacy Group and the LGBT Forum) have been invited to a breakfast to hear some key messages and network. Speakers will include

The event will include the re-launch of a domestic violence leaflet for junior school age children “Don’t be Afraid to Tell” and the release of white doves, which is the image of the Week of Peace.

 To hold a community engagement event in the Community Hall on the Edgar Road Estate / Hounslow Heath Estate in Heathfield Ward centred around bringing the different ethnic groups on the estate together. This event would be run in conjunction with Richmond Housing Partnership and Heathfield SNT.

 Event 3 : Launch of the Young People's Police Liaison Group

 Each of the 18 Safer Neighbourhood Teams will take part in the LWOP by carrying out a street briefing, holding or attending community engagement event or carrying out a crime prevention exercise.  Event 7 : Bullying & Safety Assemblies & Crime Prevention Advice

Details :  
Ham & Petersham will be holding bullying assembly’s in Grey Court school over two days.  St Richards and Andrews school and Meadlands school the team will be doing assembly’s on road safety and personal safety.

And also attending coffee mornings in St Richards and Andrews church where they will give crime prevention advice.  They will also attend a coffee morning at the Christian center offering the same service.

 Event 8 : Hampton Safer Neighbourhood Team 'Spotless Day' & Other Events
 Time : Meet 15.00

  • The main event in Hampton is a spotless day on Thursday 13th September. We hope to lead a litter pick on this day . Invited to take part are all 34 Neighbourhood Watch co coordinators, the churches/ Hampton youth project and Scout Association as well as our partners from the Council.  We plan to meet at Gander Green at 5pm and fan out over the whole ward.
    There will be a short street briefing at the start at 15.00 re Community, and Neighbourhood Watch shemes. 
  • We will be attending Hampton junior and Infant schools on Tuesday and Wednesday re diversity and reporting hate crimes. We will also attend 3rd Hampton Scouts on Wednesday. 
  • On Saturday 15th we are attending the opening of the new area at Bushey allotments and will have a marked vehicle to mix and chat to that community.
